Which colour?

Colour choices are crucial when screen printing. It is important to choose an ink colour for your text or logo that will contrast your chosen balloon colour.

If you select colours from within the same shade spectrum , your print will not show up very well on the balloons.

If, however, you select colours from different ends of the spectrum, your print will contrast well and the text or image will stand out clearly.

As a guide we suggest printing either a light shade of ink on to a dark colour of balloon or a dark shade of ink on to a light colour of balloon. Black on white or white on black are the most opposite ends of the spectrum to gain the most contrasting combination.

Please see below an example of a good choice of colour combinations and a bad choice.

Which way up?

Neck orientation is a simple but very important decision to make… get it wrong and your artwork will be upside down!

It simply means do you want the neck to be at the top or at the bottom when your design is printed.

The most popular way of printing latex balloons is neck down, for use with helium or air filled with cups & sticks. If you are wanting to hang your balloons from the ceiling and inflate them with air, you will require the neck at the top, otherwise known as neck up!

Still unsure which way?… We will help you decide!
